Announcement from SharpEdges - Hamurguri concerning the NBTSG

THE LATEST NBTSG UPDATE……..As you all are aware Larry Brooks has retired as of May 2011.  Linda will be retiring this year as well.  Dennis and Tonya will be taking over the Sharp Edges business and with any new business venture there are some growing pains that they are going through right now and they have realized that they cannot fully devote the time that is needed to properly promote, organize, and provide a quality NBTSG show.

With that being said, we feel that the NBTSG is a very important part of sharpening industry and feel that it is important for the NBTSG to carry on.  Therefore, after much consideration and discussion we have made arrangements for Gene and Bonnie Megowen from Bonika Shears to head up the NBTSG certification and training seminars.  We feel that Gene & Bonnie is an excellent match for this organization.  They definitely have the credentials and are a very big part of the industry.  They have proven themselves over the years as a stable company that continues to demonstrate outstanding professionalism.  We are looking forward to working with Gene & Bonnie.  For those of you have attended their past Jam’s know they put on a quality show.

However, Dennis will still be involved with the certification (judging) process.  He will be speaking at this years Jam in July 28th – 30th in Atlanta, on the importance of certification, what certification can do for you and the process of certification.  We are still working the details out so be sure to continue to check out the NBTSG website at http://www.nbtsg.com/ regularly as well as Bonika’s website at www.bonika.com.
